Kappa Kappa Psi is a service fraternity that provides social activities and various services to the band program on UNI's campus. We sometimes partner with Tau Beta Sigma - Zeta Nu Chapter to enhance the band program even further. These are some of the things you may see throughout the school year that we provide.
Fall
UNI's Kappa Kappa Psi and Tao Beta Sigma are heavily involved in serving the Panther Marching Band during their fall season. At the end of the first day of band camp, we host a s'mores social for everyone to attend. After the PMB's pregame rehearsal, we serve pizza and soda while waiting for the football game to start. In the stands, we set out and refill water jugs to keep the band hydrated. We also hand out apples and bananas to help everyone's energy stay up during the 3rd quarter. Fall semester concludes with putting together an annual band banquet to celebrate the marching band season.
Spring
In the Spring, we assist the UNI School of Music put on the Northern Festival of Bands multi-day invitational. We set up and take down stages, provide apparel to participants, and help with registration and other various needs of the event. With Tao Beta Sigma, we host an ice cream social for the high school students and directors involved.
